Due to the inadequacy of the health care system in America and the insatiable greed of insurance companies, many New Mexicans cannot afford their therapy co-pays and do not qualify for public assistance. Did you know that over 10% of New Mexicans don't have health insurance? Did you know you don't qualify for Medicaid if you make over 30k a year? If you make 2k a month in Albuquerque affording a weekly co-pay is not affordable. Did you know that Medicare doesn't adequately cover Mental Health care, including no coverage for intensive outpatient substance use services and reimbursement rates that don't cover the cost of service provision? Did you know that individuals who are disabled due to Mental Health conditions, are placed on Medicare which reduces their ability to get mental health care and often requires a copay? Please support me and other Mental Health providers in offering clients free services by donating to cover the cost of their treatment, deductibles or co-pays. We all deserve healing and support and as a community have a responsibility to take care of each other.
