Therapy animal Nonprofit devastated by hardships

Tax deductible
Victoria Smith is the founder and president of Visiting Hooves, a 501c3 Nonprofit.  She and her husband, Ron Smith, have been spreading love and joy since 2015 with miniature therapy horses and therapy bunnies, traveling to memory cares, senior assisted living, hospices, schools, and special needs groups.  Their goal has always been to bring happiness to people with emotional or physical disabilities.  Now they are the inflicted ones.

In July 2019, Victoria Smith was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is undergoing months of chemotherapy to try to save her life.  As a former very active and athletic senior, this has been a gut wrenching change to her life.  She still tries to travel with the therapy animals though when she feels well enough between treatments.

In May 2019, Ron Smith was declared legally blind.  He still tries to help on therapy visits, but it is very difficult.  He can no longer drive and finds it hard to see even faces or inside rooms.

The couple normally travels to facilities with the animals, but now feel the  need to spend more days closer to home.  They wish to remodel a building on their property into an onsite therapy center.  This would enable programs with seniors, special needs groups, youth groups, retired veterans, etc.  to bring their people to Visiting Hooves for therapeutic interaction with the therapy animals.  Visitors could pet and love on the mini horses and bunnies, raise their spirits,  laugh with joy, and feel the unique human-animal bond.   Therapists could bring their clients for AAT (animal assisted therapy) sessions.  It would bring happiness to so many people and lessen the difficulty of the Smith's situation.

With your help, it can happen!  Please, donate to help keep this beloved Nonprofit organization alive!  Thank you!
