<div>ich bin die Oma des kleinen Mica, der mit seinen 13 und 7 Jahre alten Geschwistern und seinen Eltern am Berliner Stadtrand lebt.
</div>
<div>Wenn ich meinen dritten Enkel mit all den angebrachten Schläuchen im Arm halte, kämpfe ich mit den Tränen. Dennoch bin ich dankbar über die umfassenden medizinischen Möglichkeiten, insbesondere dafür, dass Mica lebt.
</div>
<div>Durch eine überraschende Schwangerschaftsvergiftung ist mein süßer Enkel leider bereits in der 31. Schwangerschaftswoche, mit einem zarten Gewicht von 1570g, viel zu früh auf die Welt gekommen.
</div>
<div>Mit dem überstürzten Eintreten der Geburt hat Mica tragischerweise einen Hirninfarkt mit beidseitigen Matrix-Blutungen erlitten.
</div>
<div>Zusätzlich wurde bei Mica eine Pulmonalstenose festgestellt, bei der eine Verengung der Herzklappe zwischen rechter Herzkammer und Lungenkreislauf vorliegt. Zur Überwachung ist Mica deshalb 24h an einen transportablen Herzmonitor angeschlossen, der sein ständiger Begleiter sein wird, bis eine Operation in Erwägung gezogen werden kann.

<div>Aufgrund seiner ausgeprägten Trinkschwäche und Muskelhypertonie wird Mica über eine Magensonde ernährt. Um ihm zu helfen sind deshalb logopädische Therapien erforderlich.
</div>
<div>Als wäre das alles noch nicht genug, hat unser kleiner Schatz zudem leider noch die Faktor-V-Mutation geerbt. Ein angeborener Gendefekt, bei dem es zu Störungen der Blutgerinnung kommt und in Folge ein erhöhtes Risiko von Venenthrombosen besteht. Um dem entgegenzuwirken ist die ständige Physiotherapie unabdingbar, bis er auf Medikamente eingestellt werden kann.
</div>
<div>Die Ärzte haben für Mica eine Neuroaktive Reflextherapie (NART) - ein Therapiekonzept für Kinder und Jugendliche mit frühkindlichen Hirnschäden – ab seinem 5. Lebensmonat empfohlen. Diese wird allerdings in einer Spezialklinik in Bremen, weit weg von zu Hause, angeboten und zudem nicht von der gesetzlichen Krankenkasse finanziert.

<div>Micas Eltern möchten diese Therapie dennoch unbedingt in Anspruch nehmen, um Mica die besten Möglichkeiten für sein weiteres Leben zu bieten. Neben den Therapiekosten fallen hier noch Übernachtungskosten für Mama oder Papa an.
</div>

<div>Mica ist ein Wunschkind. Seine Eltern und Geschwister haben ihn sofort in ihr Herz geschlossen und scheuen keine Mühen, um ihn bestmöglich in seiner individuellen Entwicklung zu unterstützen. Die intensive Betreuung verlangt der Familie jedoch wahnsinnig viel Zeit und Geld ab, allein schon für die vielen Fahrten zu den umfassenden ärztlichen Untersuchungen und Therapien. Dieser Umstand stellt die Familie vor eine finanzielle Herausforderung. Die Finanzierung der NART-Therapie ist für die Familie ohne Hilfe nicht möglich.

<div>Darum möchte ich mit diesem Spendenaufruf um Unterstützung bitten, um dieser starken Familie den Umgang mit dieser unvorhersehbaren Situation zu erleichtern und Mica in naher Zukunft die NART-Therapie in Aussicht zu stellen.
</div>
<div>Es ist mein größter Wunsch, Mica gemeinsam mit seinen Geschwistern glücklich spielen zu sehen.

<div>I am the grandmother of little Mica, who lives with his 13 and 7 year old siblings and his parents on the outskirts of Berlin.
</div>
<div>When I hold my third grandson in my arms with all the tubes attached, I fight back tears. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the extensive medical possibilities, especially for the fact that Mica is alive.
</div>
<div>Due to an unexpected pregnancy poisoning, my sweet grandson was unfortunately born much too early at 31 weeks gestation, weighing a tender 1570g.
</div>
<div>Tragically, Mica suffered a cerebral infarction with bilateral matrix hemorrhages as a result of the rushed birth.
</div>
<div>In addition, Mica was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis, which is a narrowing of the heart valve between the right ventricle and the pulmonary circulation. Mica is therefore connected to a portable heart monitor for 24-hour monitoring, which will be his constant companion until an operation can be considered.
</div>
<div>Due to his pronounced drinking weakness and muscle hypertonia, Mica is fed via a feeding tube. Speech therapy is therefore necessary to help him.
</div>
<div>As if that wasn't enough, our little darling has also unfortunately inherited the factor V mutation. This is a congenital genetic defect that causes blood clotting disorders, resulting in an increased risk of venous thrombosis. To counteract this, constant physiotherapy is essential until he can be put on medication.
</div>
<div>The doctors recommended Neuroactive Reflex Therapy (NART) - a therapy concept for children and adolescents with early childhood brain damage - for Mica from the age of 5 months. However, this is offered in a specialist clinic in Bremen, far away from home, and is not covered by statutory health insurance. Mica's parents are nevertheless keen to take advantage of this therapy in order to give Mica the best opportunities for the rest of his life. In addition to the therapy costs, there are also overnight costs for mom or dad.
</div>
<div>Mica is a dream child. His parents and siblings immediately took him to their hearts and spared no effort to provide him with the best possible support for his individual development. However, the intensive care demands an incredible amount of time and money from the family, if only for the many trips to the extensive medical examinations and therapies. This poses a financial challenge for the family. It is not possible for the family to finance the NART therapy without help.
</div>
<div>I would therefore like to use this appeal for donations to ask for support to help this strong family deal with this unpredictable situation and to offer Mica the prospect of NART therapy in the near future.
</div>
<div>It is my greatest wish to see Mica playing happily together with his siblings.
