The Rainbow Cards Project is a nonprofit project that sends birthday, holiday & special occasion cards to LGBTQ+ folks all over the world whose families have stopped sending them cards since they came out. The aim is to combat the isolation that can come from receiving a negative reaction when you come out to family, and to remind recipients they are part of a huge community that is a kind of family in itself.

Thanks to the generosity of kind donors, this Christmas we have sent over 4300 cards to 400+ recipients all over the world, but this has been incredibly costly and we are now running very low on funds to carry us into the new year.

We send birthday & special occasion cards year round to over 400 recipients all over the world, and we need your support to ensure we have enough funds to continue doing that in 2019. These cards make a huge difference to our recipients, some of whom have had no familial relationship for decades, some who are very young and yet have been kicked out by their own family, and all of whom are struggling with isolation caused simply by intolerance towards who they are.

I run this project alone, and due to my several disabilities/chronic illnesses I am unable to host in-person fundraisers to help with the costs, so I rely hugely on the kindness of supporters online to keep this project going. This project wouldn't exist without the support of people like you.
