So here’s the Naked Truth
My mom isn’t well and I’m desperate to help her. I’m starting a “Go-fund-Me” in order to help her pay for what the doctors say, should be the last surgery she will have to go through.
This has been a very long and tough road she has been on for the last 10 years. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it must have actually been. Emotionally, physical, financially...
And that’s why i have started this project. Because I’ve hidden behind a mask called social media for so long that no one really knows the true circumstance of my life, of my family’s life. We are struggling.. so much that she has been putting off having the surgery for many reasons, but one of the most important is not being able to AFFORD it. My mother has been willing to sacrifice her health, life, and well being because, 10 years of medical bills is THAT daunting.
I know that everyone has their own struggles. And some people’s struggle may be the same as hers, as ours. But I believe in this project.
I want to show my mom that being honest and vulnerable CAN make a difference.
I am setting a goal of $1000. To help pay for my moms surgery. I know that may seem like a lot but healthcare, hospitals, and surgery in America are not cheap. And ultimately my Moms’ life will depend on getting this done.
She has had tons of procedures and so many surgeries already. Including chemo, radiation, colon reconstruction, small intestine removal, large intestine removal, kidney removal, more colon removal.. the list is so long.
But she isn’t getting better because all the trauma to her digestive system has made it practically inoperable. The only choice she has now is to go through one more major surgery, remove everything and live life with a colostomy bag. And even though she is going through with it. Being able to afford it is still an issue. And i want to take that burden off of her shoulders. Even if i can’t pay for the whole thing, i just want to help. I need to help. I will help.
