Helping the McNeil's

My beautiful niece Cambric, her husband Jake, and their 8 month old daughter Ruby Sue McNeil were forced to evacuate their home during hurricane Harvey .  As a family we are forever grateful to the heroes who came by boat to rescue them as waters rose in the home of friends in which they had taken refuge after already leaving their own apartment.  They had to abandon their car, their home, and all their possessions in the face of tremendous danger.  

While they do have  personal property insurance, it will not cover the extent of their losses. They also have no idea how long it will be before that insurance kicks  in.

The McNeil's are in need of some basics very quickly and will have to replace several of the day-to-day items needed in a home.  Our hope is to raise enough money to ease their stress and burden while they are literally starting over.

Jake and Cam are very humbled by all they have been through and are just an amazing couple.  They have made it abundantly clear that any money they do not use from this effort will be donated to other families of hurricane Harvey who have also suffered substantial loss.  Jake went back the next day to try and retrieve a few sentimental items, and after getting a few things quickly said he wanted to come back to help those who were still stranded and left behind.  That's the kind of people they are.

So many have been left devestated in the path of this storm.  For us, this has hit close to home and we are forever grateful for the safety of the McNeil family.  We ask that even if you cannot donate to them, you continue to pray for those affected in Texas.
