Risto's Fund-The man with the cane

Risto is a long time resident of Hunterdon County. He has been seen by many as he walked to work everyday from Glen Gardner to The Holiday  Inn, in Clinton - totaling over 7+ miles for just a one way  trip with his back pack, jacket, gloves, cane, and his yankee hat. He is originally from Macedonia, and would work long hours to send money back home to his wife in hopes for a better life for them. I know this information from my Mother, who would frequently pick him up in the winter and give him rides to and from work. He is hard to understand when speaking to him, but he has a great heart, strong work ethic, and is as strong as an ox. He used to run marathons in his country when he was younger and carries the medals he won in his backpack. Unfortanately, Risto was hit by a car when riding his bike to work many years ago, which is why he walks with a cane now. After my family had moved from Clinton it has been a long time since I saw him so when I saw him walknig on 22 the other day, I picked him up. I drove him home to see where he was living now since he had left Glen Gardner and Clinton. After seeing where he resides yesterday, (he lives in single room and has an old bed and tv  along with a mini fridge and a microwave-nothing else) he told me that he has prostate cancer and needed treatment. Now I am not sure how much money the treatment will be, so i do not know the total cost but I do know that any amount will be appreciated. Money for his treatment and to get him to live a little more comfortably will be more than appreciated by him.  We dropped off some goodies to him earlier today and 50$ and he had tears in his eyes and said God Bless you. 

I want to help this man that we all know and have all seen - he has no family or friends here and he deserves a little more from life and some of our love.
