Thelma Thompson House Fire Fund

Donation protected
My Grandma, Thelma Thompson, has had a whirlwind of a year. She moved from her lifelong home in Maryland to North Carolina, in March. Then, she found out in May that her daughter and son in law were selling their house in North Carolina, and they were buying a farm in southern Virginia. They moved into their forever home just six weeks ago.

This afternoon, while preparing for the hurricane, the unthinkable happened. A generator caught fire outside and as a result, the house has been totally destroyed. There is nothing salvageable in the house. Everything that grandma owned was in her bedroom. While insurance will cover replacement, she only has a small bag of clothes from this weekend and some of her medication. Anyone who knows my grandma knows that she would give her last dollar to help anyone in need. She would never ask for a dime. We are doing this to help her offset the out of pocket costs for replacements of her personal belongings.

More than money, grandma appreciates your prayers. She was so excited to move into the new house and finally feel like she had a home again.
