I am sure you have been following the covid crisis in India. It is truly a tragedy. There are thousands of people dying every day due to the lack of oxygen, medication and access to essentials such as food. About 40 million (only 3%) (out of 1.2 billion) have been fully vaccinated (with just over 100 million with 1 shot) with a potentially less effective vaccine, oxygen supplies are critically low, emergency hospital are completely overwhelmed and the Indian covid-19 variant is particularly aggressive. All this has combined to create the worst covid conditions the world has witnessed so far.
This hits hard at home for our family. We are part Indian, our sister Jasmine was born in Mumbai, our grandmother Maji is Mangalorean, and we lived there for many years. We have decided to do something to help through our charity The Jordan Elf Project (www.thejordanelfproject.org) by raising funds. All funds will be sent to charities in India that are supplying critical medical needs and services to hospitals and charitable organizations providing emergency care at home to covid patients. As a family we're asking for help from the various communities we belong to (school, work, sport, etc.) This would align with us all wanting to be global citizens and trying to look outside of our Santa Barbara bubble. Every little helps.

From there the funds will be set to charities selected and diligence by us that are directly working to supply critical medical needs and services to hospitals and charitable organizations providing emergency care at home to covid patients.
