Our Infertility Journey

I always thought we'd have a big family. At least 4 kids. 4 awesome kids that learned to ski and skateboard when they were 3 years old. 4 little troublemakers that we'd chase around the zoo or amusement park. 8 sticky hands and stinky feet marking up the halls and walls of our home. I was going to be a cool, young mom doing it all - raising the kids, working the job, loving and enriching our lives. But year by year passed us by, and the dream felt like it was slipping away with the time. We have struggled with infertility for nearly 5 years. We've been to at least 6 different doctors. We've done two failed IUIs (and it was suggested that because they were such terrible fails, it wasn't worth doing again), we've taken copious amounts of hormones and injections, and month after month we've been let down.
Our next step is the inevitable IVF treatment (in-vitro-fertilization). The procedure alone is $9,800. Medications can range fro $3,000-5,000. We've already put so much into this process both emotionally and financially that we feel like we're staring into the abyss of the unknown. But we're not willing to let the dream die. We are going to do this, whether it's totally on our own, or with the help of our loving family and friends. We have complete hope that we can do this, and that it'll work.
I turn 34 in December, and while my doctors assure me I'm still young (ha!), I thought I'd have two kids by now, and maybe another on the way. I'd love nothing more than to spend my 34th year working towards the goal of just ONE. Maybe you're struggling financially yourself and don't have the means to support us - that's ok. We'll take prayers, good vibes, sharing of our GoFundMe, your recommendations to use Ryan as someone's photographer, your love, and support. We'll make it through this storm no matter how big the waves get, no matter how many times we're slammed into the shores. We're not letting go of this dream, and we sincerely thank you in advance for even reading this and caring for us as you all do so very, very well.
