We have been married for 10 years and have had our share of challenges, blessings, losses, and victories. We like to call this, OUR ADVENTURES. We have 2 perfect angels in heaven and though we never kissed or held them; we love them and know we will one day hug them at heaven’s gates. After our first loss, we jumped on the emotional roller coaster of loss, grief, healing, doctor appointments, tests, procedures, surgeries, IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), fertility treatments, faith, hope, anger, pain…oh yeah, ALL of it! After 6 years, we experienced a great joy and a great loss all in about 2 months when we received the news of our pregnancy and then our 2nd miscarriage. Ok we are not going to lie, it was tough, BUT GOD! Wait, did we add that in between all of that, our marriage took quite the beating and we separated – yeah BUT GOD! His mercy and His love never gave up on US! Now, let’s take it back, give or take 11 years on one of our long and deep conversations (because we all have those when we were dating, remember? LOL), we both shared our desire to one day adopt a child. SIDE NOTE: We had no idea the journey that was ahead of us. Fast forward to June 2018 and our missions trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica: our lives were truly changed forever and when we say that, WE MEAN IT! Jamaica holds a special place for us. It was after our time there we decided to finally take a step of faith and into the unknown, the journey of ADOPTION.
WE NEED YOU
So, as many of you know, adoption is costly, it’s hard, but it’s a beautiful journey as well. We believe it is picture of the gospel and what God did for us – we know the journey ahead will come with its challenges but also God’s favor. We are estimating the costs for this process to be close to $40,000 and before we ask for donations, what is most important to us is YOUR PRAYERS! What are we praying for? For peace, for strength, to not lose our faith, to stand strong, for FAVOR, and to have our baby with us in God’s perfect timing. We believe in His provision and pray that those who feel led to help us, whether through prayer and/or financially, will stand in the gap with us and believe for the impossible. THANK YOU for believing with us and for your LOVE! There are so many of you who have been a part of this journey in one way or another throughout the years, we truly could not do this without you by our side. We bless you and pray for you every day!
