The Gary Gold Story
I am a professional English footballer, DJ and all round legend. After dominating the English leagues (23 Clubs, 172 Goals, 38 Red Cards) for the past 14 years, I was contacted by the new MLS football club Los Angeles FC offering me a contract. I decided it was time to bring my talents to America.
However, when I arrived at LAFC on deadline day, I discovered that I'd actually been pranked by some idiot schoolkids (I know who you are) and LAFC hadn't been trying to sign me at all. In fact, they didn't even have a stadium yet. Most losers would have packed up their bags and gone home. But, not Gary Gold. Taking this prank as a sign from the universe that it was my destiny to play in Los Angeles, I decided to remain in the City of Angels and dedicate myself 24/7 to getting signed by LAFC.
I am now at the end of a intense 6 month regime to get myself in top physical shape , and I am ready to play. Yet, despite the thousands of tweets and DMs I have sent the club, they still haven't got in contact with me. With LAFC's first home game on April 29th, I am planning to send the club a giant, unignorable message that says "Hey guys, you've got a goalscoring legend on your doorstep. Every club needs a legend. What you doing? Lets get this contract sorted and start dominating the MLS". Or, in other words, SIGN GOLD.
In order to fund this genius marketing campaign, I need your help. Unfortunately my personal finances are a little tight at the moment (blame my ex-wife and my dodgy Scottish accountant for that) and I have spent much of my available funds on getting myself in top physical shape for this season. This epic "SIGN GOLD" campaign is going to cost $2200 to bring to life. That's where you come in....
