Help Matt Wiley Care for his Mother
Matt Wiley needs your assistance in caring for his mother, Kathleen.
A couple of years ago, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which she was able to treat with success, however, shortly later she was diagnosed with liver cancer and has been struggling with that ever since. A few days before Christmas, Kathleen lost feelings in her legs and fell, resulting in multiple fractures in her lower back and she was hospitalized for several days. A few days after Christmas, oncologists found that cancer had spread to her spinal cord and was placed in hospice with a prognosis of only a few weeks to live.
Matt is an only child who lives and works in Kansas City, MO. Over the past few weeks, Matt has had to take off work to be with his mother and help care for his father who has MS, both in Pennsylvania. He has run out of paid time off with his employer and has depleted his savings to remain with his folks.
While his employer is understanding, they are unable to pay him for time off which has created a financial strain on Matt which makes it incredibly difficult to meet his obligations in Kansas City as he takes care of his parents in another state. Matt needs the help of his friends and family during this difficult time. While he hates asking for help, this is a time where he needs it the most and so his friends have set up a gofundme for financial assistance so he can care for his family.
