Don "The Duck" Andress Cancer Fund

We are raising funds for Don Andress as he has prostate cancer. The goal is to keep him comfortable and in his home on Mackinac Island as he is undergoing treatment. It is important for him to maintain a healthy quality of life and important for his son Jamie to stop working and stay home as his full time caregiver. While the Mackinac Island Community Foundation is generously assisting, we do need to raise more for home essentials and for travel off Island for treatment through the seasons.Please give generously and share this wildly. "The Duck" is an icon on Mackinac, a direct descendant of Chief Mackinac, a veteran of the US Army, has worked as a carpenter at Fort Mackinac, owned his own construction business on the Island, and has remained working at Grand Hotel through this past spring. He has been leading the Lilac Festival Parade for decades as well. He has one son, Jamie Andress who is dedicating his time to caring for his father.
