Harvey Relief for the Decherd's

On August 25th, 2017 Hurricane Harvey made landfall. Everyone knew that the hurricane would make it's way to Houston, but no one knew how devastating it would be. My grandparents called around 3:45am on Sunday, August 27th, letting everyone know there was water above their ankles.  My family's cars were not able to get to them and rescue groups had a queue lasting for hours. The water quickly rose throughout the night and by the grace of God a family friend saw a Facebook post about my grandparents needing rescue and went over and waded in shoulder deep water to get them and brought them to her house. The water ended up being 6ft deep in their home and they lost everything.  This is not the only property that my grandmother has that was affected. She has another one bedroom condo in the same complex where a friend of my sister lives. This condo was completely under water and this condo was not covered under flood insurance at all. This was one of the only sources of income for my grandparents and now it's gone.

We are asking for financial help for my grandmother and grandfather because this will be a long road to recovery and so many critical things are not covered by insurance. We know the cost will be higher than what is being ask, but anything will help.  We absolutely hate asking for money and know so many people are in similar situations, but appreciate any support.
