The Daily Bread is a Nambour based soup kitchen that serves a three course meal, twice weekly. The Daily Bread now attracts on average 70 patrons a night!
Feeding 70 people a free, three course meal takes a decent effort and in order to ensure we always have a large storage of food for the patrons we are needing a new deep freezer.
An increase in patrons has meant an increase in food needed - which means we need a larger strorage unit for this food! There are 70 hungry tummies that rely upon the continuity of this food so our goal through running the Gold Coast Marathon is to raise enough money to purchase a deep freezer!
Our goal is $4200 dollars which equates to $100 per kilometre. No matter the amount all donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to this incredible community service.
