Show your love for the Columbus music community and play a part in assisting four college students in producing a series and a record.
The GROOVE U Graduating Class of 2019 is working on their final project called The C-Side through their student-run record label, Elementary Records. These four young entrepreneurs are taking on a task that would normally be overseen by dozens experienced businessmen. This project is a 12 week video and audio series aiming to highlight the camaraderie within the Columbus music community.
Columbus musicians often speak proudly of the high levels of partnership within the community, which is something you don't really see in other cities. The goal of our series is to showcase that unique sense of community within Columbus by displaying a side of Columbus you've never heard before. The video series features a different local band each week covering another local band in their own unique style–new week, new artist, new twist. At the end of the series, all of the featured songs are going to be released on a vinyl record in April 2019.
The C-Side team of Kalyn, Katie, Maddy, and Scott are reaching out to you, the community, to be a part of this project by helping with the cost of printing the record. By donating, you will play a major role in making our project a success. Your money will be used to print the record and ensure a successful release date. You will be helping four students with the massive accomplishment of not only releasing a record, but having the community be a part of it. Further, you will be helping the local music scene, music lovers, fans, and the bands themselves.
The records begin the pressing process on February 15th, so funds would ideally be acquired by the middle of March 2019 to be ready for our release in April.
Every donation is important, whether it's ten cents or ten dollars, we appreciate it all, and we appreciate you for wanting to be a part of an amazing project within the Columbus music community.
