The Colwick's Adopt

Hey there - we’re the Colwicks (Kevin, Callie and Kenzi) and we are excited to announce that we are adopting!

Thank you for taking a few minutes to hear our hearts, get to know us and learn more about why we’re adopting. We started the adoption process last year and are excited to announce we are home study approved and are waiting to be matched with a birth mother.

A bit about us - we are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2011 (10 years, woohoo!) Fast forward to 2015 when God blessed us with our sweet Kenzi Rae. Then a year and a half later (after two early miscarriages) we announced that we were expecting our son, Quinn Alan.

Shortly after our announcement Callie began experiencing complications and we found ourselves in the hospital fighting for Quinn’s life. The Doctors said Quinn would born in a matter of hours. We were devastated and completely heart broken. At just 15 weeks gestation, our sweet baby boy could not survive outside Callie’s womb.

While fighting for Quinn's life Callie developed an infection that went septic. We lost Quinn and Callie nearly lost her life. After a year and a half in the hospital, two double below knee amputations (and hundreds of other surgeries than Kevin lost count of) Callie finally came home in 2018.

A lot of beauty has blossomed since then, and we're now in a place where we are excited to be growing our family through infant domestic adoption.

The total cost of our adoption is estimated to be around $25,000-$30,000. We are so thankful and encouraged every time someone chooses to help support us financially, but more importantly we hope that you will join us in prayer!
