The Chosen Few

Donation protected
The Chosen Few is a drug-user organizing group based in Washington, D.C. that seeks to represent communities impacted by the War on Drugs by combating criminalization, stigma and oppression and promoting the health, rights and dignity of people who use drugs. Recognizing the racial and economic disparities that are intensified by our country’s criminal justice approach to drug use, the Chosen Few accomplishes their goals through leadership development, community organizing, peer-to-peer health and public education, participatory research, direct actions and harm reduction services.

The funds from this page will be used for program development activities, including the following:

-to support the costs of our International Overdose Awareness Day event on August 31 (To see event info, click here )

-to contribute to sending our members to attend the International Drug Policy Reform Conference in Atlanta, GA (October 11-14)

-to support our group's neighborhood syringe clean ups around the Washington, D.C. neighborhoods most impacted by drug use

-to develop a harm reduction education program that is led by people who use drugs

We want to be part of the national movement to promote the health and dignity of people who use drugs.  Thank you for supporting a drug-user led community organizing group in Washington, D.C.!
