The Barkley Restaurant & Bar - Reopening Campaign

Because of the pandemic and the new guidelines that were implemented back in March, The Barkley Restaurant and Bar has been struggling to keep business alive. As a result, some employees and friends gathered together to develop a GoFundMe page to help out.
The owner tried everything he could over the past months and has been paying our wages out of his own savings this last year but the new stay-at-home order, winter, curfew and no outdoor dining is now putting the Barkley in Jeopardy.
We are now closed temporarily until he can figure out a new plan.
Everyone who has been to The Barkley knows it is a big family and it is really sad to see the staff getting smaller and customers dwindle.
Friends and customers have been asking for a platform where they could donate, so a few of us decided to create this Go Fund Me and ask for your help.

Employees and friends of The Barkley Family A little bit about me: Hi, I’m Maria, but everyone calls me Brazil and I’m a bartender at The Barkley. If you ever been to the restaurant on a weekend night, I’m sure we had the opportunity to share a cocktail together :) I decided to start this fundraiser to help my boss/the owner - which also happens to be a really good friend of mine - cover some expenses during these months that we were closed. I’m really grateful for all the love and support from everyone, specially from my dear co-workers that helped me make this fundraiser happen. Now that we’ve reached our goal, once I withdraw the donations, I’m gonna donate 100% of the amount raised to the owner of The Barkley, so he can pay rent and payroll for the months that we were closed (December and January). We are planning to re-open by February, so stay tuned for our next announcements. I can’t wait to see all of you again at The Barkley. Once again, thank you very much for all the donations...
