Carlo and Ruth are two incredible people who spread creative energy, joy and compassion wherever they go. As professional photographers, they've captured moments of love for countless families. As the resident goofballs of San Diego's climbing and yoga community, they've turned gym and crag sessions into hilarious memories.
The weekend of January 5, Carlo and Ruth traveled to San Francisco to shoot a wedding when their rental car was broken into. Everything was stolen, including all their photo gear and luggage—altogether worth $14,000. Their gear included multiple Canon cameras, Sigma lenses, their Apple Macbook Pro, a Mamiya 7, professional cases, backpacks and accessories as well as their clothing and personal items (even Ruth's journal!). This collection of gear had been slowly acquired and saved up for with years of hard work and dedication, and is nearly everything Carlo uses to make a living as a full-time photographer.
