Vanessa Santos is T.H.E.A. Founder and a disabled Indigenous Interdisplinary Artist, Disabled Justice Worker, Bio-dynamic Farmer, Auto-Immune Herbalist, Healing Arts Practitioner, Mentor and Eco-Arts Educator. Vanessa found a rental on acreage in their home-state of California, specifically in the Los Angeles or High Desert Region (Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Landers, 29 Palms etc.) of Southern California that will serve the community. . The T.H.E.A. Indigenous Reclamation Research Acreage and Homestead will serve as an experimental Indigenous arts/ healing space for disabled and or QTBipoc Artists/ Interdisciplinary Artists and Biodynamic Farming acreage to provide a working platform for Agricultural Food Justice programs as a place for Interdisplinary Art Residencies and Healing Retreats/ Workshops.

Vanessa/ Ancient Pocket/ THEA draws from her experiences in rural Iowa for their Food/ Ag Justice plan of action, having worked with small farming operations for many years as a Farm to Table and Food Justice Agricultural facilatator/ educator and including but not limited to her training in Biodynamic Agricultural Justice programming. Ancient Pocket will incorporate into the Interdisciplinary Residencies to be created all they have learned as an Artist Curator of @seraphim_dream and as an Eco-Arts Teacher for over 15+ years to all ages children and adults alike. Please read on for further detail and boost, share and contribute if you can! Thanks:

As an artist, healer and teacher in her current projects under “Ancient Pocket”, “Terra Heaven Eco-Arts” and Artist Curated Project-collaborator in “Seraphim Dream” she’s currently working towards creating the acreage as an inclusive Artist centered homestead site of THEA’s Acreage which will be:

• An Indigenous run Interdisciplinary Artist, Healing, Music & Writing Residency Program.

• A multi-functional Bio-Dynamic test plot.

• Terra Heaven Eco-Arts All Ages experimental ecology and art workshop building hands on Art Projects.

• Bio-dynamic Bee Sanctuary/ Beekeeping Farm.

• Medicinal Herb Holistic garden.

• Ethical Organic Micro-Farm for animals.

• Elemental Studies Foundation.

• Healing Arts Retreat and Meditation Grounds.

• An Earth Technologies Healing Facility developed for Autoimmune Sensitive Folks and the QTBipoc community.

Also a place where Artists and Healers can exchange their wisdom and knowledge is much needed as our future vision of Intergalacticpowered collaborations and vision making grows. Vanessa hopes this land will be a springboard for many Artist/ Healer visitors to teach at/ lead and hold safe-space congruently.

Here futuristic Earth Practices will mutually benefit the land, Interdisciplinary Artists/ Writers, children, bees (as she is currently in bee venom therapy treatment wanting to buildbee houses as service), plants and animals in an Eco-restorative manner.  Providing clear practices in Eco-arts and art eco-archology (ie. Eco-Buildings and experimental cement/ earth based architecture- Cob, Adobe etc.)…

Consciously constructing and maintaining new webs.

Please boost, share and circulate to help Vanessa and her family reach their goal!

Vanessa Santos biography below:
Vanessa Santos/ Ancient Pocket is a multidimensional Indigenous Disabled artist, weaver of new healing realities, wise teacher and healing arts channel. Under the project Ancient Pocket, they communicate new visions of sacred earth, downloaded-direct from GAIA.

By opening portals, Santos invites us into the strange, the uplifting -- the literal realm of Angels and wild aliens on our side. As an Indigenous, Disabled artist, Vanessa Santos is an art and nature educator/ Keeper of Earth-based and Indigenous teachings, Usui Reiki Master, Tonantzín Priestess, Grandmother’s Way herbalist, illustrator, painter, videographer, textiles maker and ceramicist. She/ they has been working with Biodynamic methods/ training programs since 2009.

Their background in Micro-Farming was established while living in Portland, Oregon during the year 2004 where she maintained a bio-intensive, holistic garden till 2010 where she then transported her practice to rural Iowa. Upon settling in Algona, Iowa she additionally became a local Native Plant and Plant Illustration/ Plein Air Watercolor Teacher at the local Nature Center. She also maintained two self eco-restored properties of land that were extremely productive sites as Bio-Intensive Bio-Dynamic Micro-Eco farms for nearly 8 years.

Ancient Pocket’s vein of specialty is in using Earth based techniques and incorporating Bio-Dynamic and Perma-culture practices for the land and people as one being itself. Thru personal healing she has learned to help guide others. Vanessa works diligently in a constant effort as a care-taker to maintain Indigenous methods of land and partnership and a primary focus/ priority safe spaces to be made for the QTBipoc Community.

As an Eco-Arts teacher THEA founder Ancient Pocket/ Vanessa has been teaching the intertwined origins of Art/ Nature as an integral relationship since 2009/8. Familiarizing youth and adults alike with the many relative and experimental aspects of Art and Ecology. Encouraging Artists and children to explore their imagination employing Avant-Garde projects, rituals and objects that serve purpose. Ancient Pocket’s Land Project will be reworking the land so that it comes into livelihood, balance and restoration.

Thus, the T.H.E.A. Indigenous Reclamation Research Acreage will be an opportunity for Interdisciplinary QTBIPOC Artists and community to apply practical foundation, interact in a life-changing manner, ground new Inter-dimensional skills and incorporate the Earth once more. This will be done in co-utilization of the practice Ancient Pocket/ THEA has gathered as an Indigenous Interdisciplinary Artist and Community engager for over 20 years, former Curator for Seraphim Dream and Eco-Art Educator (for nearly 15+ years). Each participant in the future projects of Ancient Pocket will hopefully walk away with further resilience, resolve and inter-personalized method of experimental development to nourish their practice, community webs, mind and bodies in a lasting way.

Vanessa’s special knowledge stems from an Autoimmune Healing Perspective, which extends to her methods as a Bio-Dnamic Farmer, Biodynamic Bee Keeper, Healing Arts Practitioner and as an Autoimmune Specialized Herbalist/ Disabled Artist.

We thank you for reading! Share as much as you can. Ancient Pocket/ THEA is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community always. Again please boost! (:
