*HELP US RAISE SOME POUNDS!*  For people unaware of our situation, my lovely mum has metastatic cancer. That has come from previously having breast cancer and it sadly returning in her bones and lymph nodes. She is now on a trial treatment in attempt to keep it at bay for as long as possible!  I also have a beautiful little sister who is nine years old, Matilda, which leads me to our charity. We would like to raise as much money for ‘ACTION FOR FAMILY - YOUNG CARERS’ as we possibly can! With it being so close to our hearts we would like to raise as much money as we can to help young people who are caring for a loved one and helping them in their everyday life. We want to make their lives as special as we can and help take any pain away from them no matter how big or small. There is a group of us, being friends and family doing the three Yorkshire peaks in may. That includes my granny doing one of the peaks and my little sister and cousin doing a peak as well. They would like to go as far as their little legs will take them before being achey! We will do photos and filming to document our journey for everyone to see. I am sure we will have a lot of laughs, beers, wines, tears and possibly some little tantrums!  Taking part with be myself (Yazz), James, Steve, Granny Ros, Tilly, Martha, Lou, Dan, Tams, Rhyd, Donna, Mark, Susanna, Lyndsey, Mitch, Bill, Joolsie! We appreciate all the help we can get and spread the love! Here is some information about young carers... A Young Carer looks after or helps to look after someone in their family with a diagnosed illness, disability, mental health issue, drug or alcohol dependency. Action for Family Carers works with schools and families across Essex to support Young Carers as young as 5 year old by providing 1-2-1 or group support in school, Young Carers Clubs and appropriate respite. There are 800,000 Young Carers in the UK that means that 1 in 5 Young people at secondary school are Young Carers. Please help Action for Family Carers to continue with their valuable work by supporting our Challenge.
