Welcome to the Wonderful World of Darklords charity fundraiser! In the spirit of our Atlantis and Who Framed Roger Rabbit episodes, we're raising money for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC); you can find details about their mission here. If we reach our fundraising goal of $250, we'll do an additional Listeners' Choice bonus episode in November.
If you'd like to submit an item for Listeners' Choice, here are some guidelines:
- After you submit your donation, please email us (or message us via GoFundMe) with the movie, show, etc. that you want us to turn into a domain. (When we tested it after recording, there unfortunately wasn't a space for comments.)
- Please DO NOT ask for an animated Disney or Pixar movie. If we have any idea of how to adapt the movie, it's already on the docket. If you ask for a Disney or Pixar movie, you're either throwing away a vote on something we're already planning to do or throwing away a vote on something we've decided is impossible. (On a related note, please DO NOT ask for Hocus Pocus or a Marvel movie. Hocus Pocus will be our last October episode and we have several candidates for Marvel May.)
- We'll be putting all of these together into a poll that we'll present all listeners in April. Depending on how many submissions we get, this might be a normal poll or we might do a bracketed elimination tournament (in which case the number of times something gets submitted will affect how it's seeded and the size of the donation might affect it also and Rachel is vibrating with math nerd excitement).
- This will be IN ADDITION TO our regular Listeners' Choice poll, which is taken from suggestions on our patrons-only Discord. If we hit our goal, we'll be doing two Listeners' Choice episodes this year.
