The Wolf Pack- Building Strong Young People

The Wolf Pack

What started as a couple of boys hanging out to escape bad situations has become a group of young men that want something more...

The Wolf Pack is about teaching respect, honesty, loyalty, and camaraderie. Each young person is held accountable by others in the Pack for their actions in school, at their job, and within the Pack. Members are required to be honest, loyal to one another, and stand within their own Pack, to hold one another accountable if they make a mistake, and back one another up.

Each of these kids has a story that will break your heart. They have been abused, molested, traumatized... most have been both mentally and physically abused. The fact that they can still smile at all is a testament to their strength of will. Each of them is determined to change their destiny, to rise out of poverty and hopelessness through hard work and dedication.

To help them achieve that goal, the Founders of the Wolf Pack provide a safe place for them to gather, a meal if needed, access community resources, organize clothing and food drives, assist with access to government services (such as making an appointment at the Department of Transportation for driver's licensing), assist with job applications and preparation for job interviews, in addition to applying for occupational skills training.

But we need help.

These kids are all remarkable in their own way, and have so much potential, if only given the right guidance and opportunities.  Here's just a little info about some of our amazing young people!

Chris (pictured on the right) is an exceptionally hard worker, who is most often found at other Pack member's homes doing yard work, cleaning, and just being a good person doing whatever needs to be done. He is funny, capable, and willing to learn.

Christian is our resident happy guy, always good for a laugh. He's fun to be around, and despite circumstances that would make others get down on themselves, he finds the sunny side.  Despite not having a permanent home, or a regular family, this young man always finds a reason to smile.  He brings his laundry over to be washed every so often when he can't wash them in a sink at another house...followed by "Thank you ma'am".

Patrick (on the right) is our big brother type- always looking out for the rest of the Pack. You can frequently find him looking for both sides of the coin in any situation. While more serious than some of his friends, he is always there for them.

Brooklyn (pictured center) is the big sister of the group, and is a strong supporter of her Pack brothers. She is always present when they need a feminine perspective that is not the 'Mom' type.  While no pushover (she definitely speaks her mind!), she has a kind heart for both the horses she loves, and the people she calls friend.

Anthony (on the left) is the baby of the bunch. He always has a happy smile, and while he is the newest to the Pack, he has thrown himself in with helping his newest 'brothers'. A goofy kind of kid, he is always all smiles.

Chad Jr (above) is the ringleader.  He brings them all together, whether at his home, or at a local event, keeps the lines of communication open, makes sure that each of his Pack brothers are doing okay. He is the original who brought them all together, and coined them a Pack, "Because Wolves run together, and never leave each other behind".

These kids all come from very low income backgrounds-but empty wallets do not make empty hearts! They have a strong desire to learn and do good things, for each other, in their own lives and in their community.  Our goal is to lift up these kids in our community who need the most help- those who struggle to do good, and just need a little guidance in the right direction- a friend to say "I got you".

Now that you know a little about the Wolf Pack, let's tell you a bit about their goals!

Tees & hoodie w/ matching ballcap (Pack merchandise) for each Pack member, to be worn to Pack events, fundraisers, and community events. The cost for this is estimated to be $100 per member from a local print shop (we try to use small businesses whenever possible!)

School clothes and supplies for each Pack member, work clothes and shoes, rent and utility assistance for the families as well as groceries, and other opportunities that arise (this includes items such as counseling for the families if needed, job training for graduated teens who remain in the youth group, college application fees, associated fees, etc).

One of the many goals is a meeting hall that is welcoming to all our members and supporters, and easily accessible for fundraisers and future events.

Updates will be posted as funds are received and distributed.

This is an ongoing effort, and as additional outstanding young people are identified and brought into this youth group, we will raise additional funds for identified needs such as those listed above. Updates will be posted both on our Instagram @fenrirschain903 and our Facebook page The Wolf Pack.
