The Willard Project

When was the last time you looked down at both of your legs and had deep and lasting gratitude for them?

If you are like most people, you might wake up every day and take for granted that you walk and run on two magnificent legs - I know I sure have.

Navigating the world with just one leg never stopped Willard from being the first person to show up and last to leave, to serve at the peak of committment, or to keep pace with his peers during physical duties and activities.

At 8 years old, Willard lost a leg to bone cancer. He grew up to battle drugs, alcohol, his own worthiness, and the uncertainties of being an above knee amputee in a world built for able bodied people, and he then fought back his entire life to prove that a person with one leg can do could do as much (and often so much more) as a person with two.

This leg has been a pillar, built from adversity and perseverance; tenacity and fortitude. Now, that pillar is starting to crack and isn’t as sturdy as it once was. Pushing the limits on this leg for Willard’s entire life has caught up to him and his health.

There happens to now be an opportunity for each of us to put a few dollars in and create a miracle for this man to have two legs.

We are opening the door of opportunity for your heart to give back to someone who has given so much to others and to the world.

The beginning of this journey includes
healing the current condition of his leg so that Willard may:

- Be evaluated by a physician.
- Obtain a prescription and appointment for a prosthesis.
- Be fitted for a temporary socket to go over the limb.
- Be evaluated and choose a prosthesis with the temporary socket.
- Fittings, follow ups, and adjustments to both the new leg and the rest of the body receiving it.

The goal here is to raise $80,000, which will get Willard the right doctors, the right fitting, and will get the process underway. It is our hope this campaign will also help him with the mounting medical expenses that his emergency care has demanded over the last two years.

Willard has seen a prosthetist since he’s been through surgery to amputate (another) toe & he has a plan to begin working with them as soon as he has been given clearance to weight bear on his newly operated foot.

Willard is going back to RV living, and he is sticking around Florida to get consistent treatment from his current health care professionals, and to enjoy and receive the love and care and support of his friends and community near him now.

Our brother Willard is the man you would want to be standing beside on any worthy mission, the best man at your wedding or the godfather to your children. He is a servant hearted leader, and is in need of our help, we ask you to consider supporting this campaign so Willard can continue to do what he loves, which is to elevate the Self-Awareness of humanity by providing Inspiration, Education and Empowerment.

FOR IT IS SERVING EACH OTHER, WE BECOME FREE!
