The Wilcox, Williams, McNeil Family

Hi, my name is Shelby McNeil. The afternoon of September 12th, while my family was celebrating my little sisters 16th birthday, their house was burned to the ground. Everything inside was destroyed. My siblings lost all of their toys, their pets and huge parts of their childhoods. This is absolutely devastating for my family especially having five children still living at home. My mom Misty and her fiancé Matt have their wedding next July, the kids are starting school, and now they have to find a new place to call home. I want to support my family through this time by spreading love and raising whatever I can. Always be thankful for everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hello everyone. It’s been 3 weeks since the fire that changed our lives. We’ve been busy dwindling down a list of a million things and we feel we’re finally at the point where we can breathe. Now that we are officially in our new temporary home, we are getting all the kids settled and working towards finding our new normal. All the kids are back in school and resuming their sports schedules and routines which is helping them. The loss of our home and memories is hard to swallow and the loss of our beloved pets is absolutely heartbreaking, and yet we are incredibly grateful that we had all left the house together at the exact moment we did and firmly believe we were being guided to safety from our good Lord and that gives us tremendous comfort. Things could’ve been different but they weren’t. We all know you are wondering and asking what started the fire and at this time we are all still asking those questions too. We know we have a long road ahead of us, but with the tremendous support of our family, friends, and community we are firmly on a new life course and would like to take this time to send everyone our love and a HUGE THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
