The Wellness Centre needs your help more than ever.
We finally have a physical healthcare facility and community space in Edmonton where BIPOC, QTBIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ people can be safe, themselves and exist without judgement and fear. Our space has recently expanded to allow peer support and various other vital, life saving services. Our people can now seek compassionate support from providers who not only understand and care but also in a space made for and by their own community.

Our Story:
We were formed from a need for quality and timely care to transgender, non-binary and gender diverse individuals in Northern Alberta. The Centre is here to be a sustainable, community-focused organization that delivers accessible services to trans persons at all points in their lives. From peer support, to community to transition related healthcare. Our vision here at The Centre, together with our partners, includes serving all members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Our board and staff are members of the QTBIPOC community, or have close ties and affiliations with the wider 2SLGBTQ+ community. Our multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and allied professionals are able to offer a wide spectrum of care including family medicine, endocrinology, psychiatry, uro-gynaecology, gynaecology, psychology, nursing, social work, peer support and a sense of community. We are partnered with iSMSS, The Pride Centre of Edmonton, and CASA in Edmonton, as well as many grassroots organisations doing work for this community.
How can you help?
As a not-for-profit, we rely entirely on donations and grant funding in order to provide these vital services to the community. We are in need of help in order to continue to provide these services at cost or free at point of use to individuals who desperately need them. We have recently been able to expand into additional space, which comes at additional cost for rent and to be able to furnish these spaces with needed equipment and supplies.
