Our story is one born of a desire to connect, grow, and support.
Noël Hrnchir and Sara met when Sara was a theology teacher, campus minister, and coach in her Catholic school in smalltown Nebraska. While living and working there she learned so much about what a supportive community looks like and how much it can impact and enhance a person's life. After moving back to her original city, where she was born and raised, and after Noël began attending the University there they both began to grow in a desire to share with women all over the support and love they found in their Catholic, small town community.
We have been inspired to do this through a podcast called The Way of the Wildflowers. Our mission in beginning this podcast is to bring together women of all moments and stages in life. Often, we as women, do ourselves a disservice by categorizing into groups of stages of life and we miss out on the rich wisdom those older, younger, or in different situations have to offer. In our podcast we promise to break down separation, foster discussions about true femininity (not just romantic girliness), difficult faith, sustaining trust, and real life. We are excited to provide resources and inspiration for each podcast and hope you will join the us!
Our speakers are not the "norm" we have young and old (one is in her 90's!). We already have communicated with many deep, real, and raw speakers excited to come record on topics like, divorce ministry, Catholicism in Greek life, marriage to a non-Catholic spouse, being Catholic as an elderly woman, favorite devotionals, miscarriage support and healing, special saints, eating disorder healing and strength, mental illness with therapy and faith, grief, using talents to build and grow business, Catholic artistry, and so much more. Our speakers are one of us, ordinary women who are seeking the extraordinary in their day to day lives.
Your hosts:
Sara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience after seven years as a teacher, campus minister, and speaker. She has a masters in Theology education and is excited to share her love and knowledge of the depth of Theology of the Body, the Saints, the Church, Scripture and more.
Noël brings a beautiful perspective to this endeavor. She is a passionate Catholic college student who doesn't want her faith to stay confined in her Church, but shares it all around campus in her sorority, journalism school, and more. She knows how to appeal to both young and old and is social media savvy.
Together, we hope to bring you a high quality, incredibly helpful, and relatable podcast that is guided by the Holy Spirit and under the care of St. Therese, the little wildflower.
To do this, we have realized, a little reluctantly, that we will need funds. For our first podcast we have found ways to borrow equipment that won't be available in the long future. We also realize we need funds to get the podcast out there, accessible to the souls we are inspired to reach. Our goal of $10,000 feels very lofty. We did our research and found out this is even under what it will cost to buy portable equipment, software, and subscriptions needed for our end goals.
Sara works full time as a teacher and Noël is a full time student as well as carries part time jobs and leadership positions. Unfortunately, we do not have our own means to provide this equipment.
We appreciate your generosity so much, so that we can make this podcast a reality for those that it would benefit. We have already been humbled by the generosity of our speakers and we hope we can do their stories, perspective, and devotions justice by providing a high quality experience.
We hope, as St. Therese would say, to "little by little" get where we need to be as soon as possible so we can keep this ball rolling, therefore, we appreciate your donations, however big or small, and we promise our prayers for you, and to be the best of stewards of your generosity.
