I am on a mission. I am here to Change the World, One Pet at a Time. ...and I would LOVE your help!
I am a firm believer in "Until you KNOW better, you cannot DO better," and so many pet owners do not KNOW how to help their dogs in a fear-free manner. So many rely on collars, leashes, fear or pain-based techniques, when they are simply not necessary...and I believe I was put on this earth to share how FUN and EASY training CAN be with just a few shifts in your mindset and knowing what behaviors to LOOK FOR instead.
So, to start, we want to offer our holistic dog training approach and methodology to people nationwide, like with our Dog Training on Tap events (we were featured on CBS58 news in Milwaukee for this as well!), and by holding Workshops & Seminars at venues where I travel to (veterinary hospitals, community centers, kennel clubs, animal shelters, rescue organizations, school systems, to petsitters, dogwalkers, and more!), and share videos of my travels with YOU via Patreon and YouTube. This way, I can offer my integrative behavioral modification and training approaches with a focus on Fear Free methods, proper nutrition and needs-based education. We can help owners address many of the variables to their pet's behavioral puzzle.
I am a licensed veterinary technician (WI), Level 2 Fear Free Certified Professional, Pet Nutritional Consultant, proud member of The Pet Professional Guild, Reiki Level 1 certified, and I have been training and modifying behaviors locally for almost 20 years. Lately, I have had more people suggesting that I get on the road and have speaking engagements. There are several places requesting I come out as my reach grows, to help even more animals while working with over 22 veterinarians (and growing) animal rescue organizations close to home. I have people from various locales wanting to book me and I need a means to tell them Yes! and get on the road...but I cannot leave my dogs behind anymore (hotels and boarding are expensive!), and if I do this right, I can bring YOU on this journey with me (with the wonders of technology and internet of course!). I'm a couple weeks from purchasing my own rig and then I can start booking!
The goal is to travel from town to town - literally The Trekking Dog Trainer - and help as many as I can ...and bring you with me along the way! I would be teaching GROUPS of people who can learn, share the material, and help themselves - and others - when I leave again. The more people practicing fear free techniques, the better life an animal lives.
Paying it Forward is also the goal because a portion of every workshop at a facility will be donated BACK to a local organization in the city I am in because I love Win-Wins! I would be VLOGGING some of them to YOU, my avid supporters, as well, to give you the same tips and tricks to use for your own dogs and putting even more videos on my Patreon account for long-term membership-based funding. So, here I am. I need a motorhome for myself and dogs to stay on the road (instead of expensive hotels), better software and other equipment (wireless booster, GoPro, solar panels, etc) so I can ensure access to the internet for the digital uploads and webinars I am doing. I want to minimize electrical and use environmentally-friendly power. I would need the rest for initial startup costs to get on the road - things like added insurance, travel expenses, offsetting initial campground fees, etc, so we can share our journey with you. I already have several destinations lined up and they are waiting for me to provide the dates, but I need to be able to ensure our travel "home" is good to go.
I am also setting up a separate YouTube Channel and a Patreon account (for ongoing donations during the travels, where you can get access to ALL of the videos and even have some private support if you'd like to contact us and become a member of our Patreon page!
