Hello Everyone,
My name is Chris Helms and I am Phil's Friend and The Bloomingdale Bears President .......
A VERY GREAT FAMILY just had a VERY TERRIBLE NIGHT at thier home in Hanover Park Il.
On Feb 7th 2018 in the evening hours a fire began in thier dryer vent , by the time they discovered it, it had spread up through the walls and into the attic. The first Fire Truck arrived in 3 minutes of the 911 call, when it was all said and done, fire companies from 5 towns were unable to save thier home, it is a complete loss.
Phil Terry, his wife Cheryl, thier two boys Vinny 13 ( 8th Grader at Springwood) and Rocco 8 ( 2nd Grader at Greenbrook) and thier dog escaped with ONLY THE CLOTHES ON THIER BACKS. The family cat sadly did not survive.
The Terry's have been part of the Bloomingdale Bears and Lake Park Football Programs since the early 2000's when oldest son Dominic started with the Bears, and continuing on through 4 yrs at Lake Park H.S.. The 2017 season was Vinny's 8th grade year ( Hes moving on to Lake Park Football in 2018) and 7th Season as well it was also Rocco's first year of tackle, so they will be around for some years to come as well. Phil has been a Coach and Board Member for all this time and has donated countless hours for the kids of this community.
Now hopefully this Bloomingdale Bears and Lake Park Community can give a little of this love back to them.
We are collecting funds to help them to get over the hump . This will help with some day to day expenses, clothes and other costs as they begin the rebuilding process. Remember they sadly lost everything.
Please donate what you can, all donations are greatly appreciated. But for the grace of God this could have been much worse, we are all so greatful they are still here with us.

*NOTE* 100% of all funds raised will be deposited directly into the Phil and Cheryl Terry's Checking Account . They will use this money to support themselves and the kids as they move forward.
