A Surfer's Search' - book publication

Hi, my name is Peter Duke,

I arrived at Byron Bay in the 90s, as a disconnected 36 yr old. Within weeks I was living on the Cape, fell in love with the Bay, and soon after I decided to create a book about the town and surrounds. Initially, I wanted to share the beauty of the region. Then the history and spirit beckoned.

At the same time, I slowly began to heal from a lifetime of addiction (I needed clarity for the subject material and challenges ahead, and I wanted a better life).

Twelve years later the outcome was great. In Dec 2010 I published a beautiful coffee table book, 'Byron Bay the History, Beauty and Spirit'. The book was embraced by the local community and, I had my health back.

I began writing 'A Surfer Search for Spirituality in Byron Bay' in 2011. Spirituality had superseded all the other topics while searching Byron Shire. Twelve years later, it's done. I've finished my second book.

I have been working on this story for a long time and the past 18 months living in my van, so I'm hoping to raise the money to publish because I have a mighty, worthy and wonderful 24-year story to share

Book printing and book launch March/April 2023.

Any additional funds, I would use to fix my van and lift up the bed to make space for the books.
