<div>-It has been 6 weeks since life changed forever for the Sugar-Jarvis family.

<div>As a result of the heart attack, Russell sustained an anoxic brain injury. The full extent of the long term effects of this type of brain unjury is uncertain at this time.  While Russell has made some improvements over the  past few weeks,  the doctors have confirmed Russell will have permanent neurological deficits. Russell remains at Southlake hosptial on a medical floor.  He will need to become more medically stable before being transfered to the neurology rehabilitation unit within Southlake. On neuro rehab Russell will receive treatment and care from physical, occupational and speech therapists to maximize his recovery. The length of stay on neuro rehab is unknown and what the next steps, following neuro rehabilitation are uncertain.

<div>Danielle is doing a fantastic job  balancing  care of their 3 children,  while being a constant champion,  advocate and cheerleader for Russell. She spends her days at the hospital helping Russell fight for the best recovery possible. Her evenings are spent with the kids, supporting their needs.

<div>It has been an incredibly stressful and emotional  6 weeks for this family. The journey unfortunately is going to be very long and challenging.  As Russell, Danielle and family continue to navigate through Russell’s recovery , they will continue to need our love and support. If you have already made a donation, thank you.  It is so appreciated by Danielle. If you would like to help them in ways other than through the GoFundMe, please me and I can coordinate this. Meal support would be very much appreciated.
</div>
<div>Again, thank you for all for your kindness, love, support and prayers.
</div>
<div>Please feel free to share this GoFundMe page with others that may want to contribute.

<div>On June 2nd, 2023, Russell collapsed on his morning walk as a result of a cardiac incident. With the assistance of passersby, EMS arrived and provided life saving care. He was transported to Southlake Regional Health Centre in critical condition. He has spent several weeks in ICU and is making progress. He remains in hospital at this time in very serious conditon.  Russell will require continued hospitalization, then  rehabilitation for an undetermined length of time.

<div>Russell and Danielle are such a generous loving and giving family. They are always eager to help family, friends, and countless organizations. They could use your help in any way possible as they continue to navigate through Russell’s illness and recovery.

</div>
<div>Funds from this Go Fund Me page will go directly to the family to assist with the many costs associated with the impact this has had on them. This includes daily expenses, monthly bills, loss of wages, and future medical expenses.

</div>
<div>Danielle and her family have been receiving an outpouring of love and messages from family and friends. They are very grateful and appreciative of this ongoing support.
