The Speir Family Recover From Critical House Fire
Donation protected
My name is Corie Swanberg-Frysztak, but growing up I pretended my last name was Speir. Ginnie Speir and I have been best friends since we were 2-1/2, and her large family of 8 became my 2nd home. They helped me through some extremely difficult times as well as so many other people in the LaGrange community. I don’t know what I would have done or who I would be today if it wasn’t for the Speir’s.
On Wednesday, May 25, Ginnie and her 90-yr old Mom were at home when a sudden fire erupted in the kitchen. Mrs. Speir was in an upstairs bedroom, struggling with the consequences of living that long, when the fire began. Within minutes the LaGrange police arrived and got her out. Ginnie is the hero here She got out safely
8 years ago, Ginnie left her career to take care of her Mom. She gave up
her job and her personal life to devote to taking care of her Mom. And never asked for help. Today, she’s got limited financial resources for housing and food. Please help Ginnie get back on her feet. She’s a saint.
UPDATE: With deep sorrow, Mrs Speir did not survive this ordeal.
