The Spears gofundme

On Monday, October 23rd the Spears family experienced not one , but two tragedies. Little Rome, 7 years old had been sick for a few days and was taken to the hospital in Wilkes County. He was immediately diagnosed with a ruptured appendix. He was taken by ambulance to Charlotte, Levine children’s hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to remove his appendix. During the surgery,  storms were ravaging Wilkes County! A tornado came through and destroyed they’re home in mulberry on the mountain side. So while they were by Rome’s side in intensive care they lost everything they have worked so hard to build at their family home.  Unfortunately, this sweet family did not have insurance.  They managed to salvage their clothes and keepsakes but the structure of the home is beyond repair. Experts say it will need to be bulldozed and built again. It’s so tough, because Roman and Ashley have been by Rome’s side the entire time. Liam the other son who is 4 is having trouble understanding why the doctors are giving Rome so many shots.  Rome has had a rough week so far, but is on the mend. He’ll need to remain in the Levine hospital for up to a week. The extended family is all pulling together to help clean up the home place, but the Spears will be having to stay with others while they rebuild. Needless to say money is tight and they don’t have a plan as of yet how to rebuild their lives. Right now everyone’s priority is getting Rome better and out of the hospital. Roman and Ashley are a very prideful and humble family and would never ask for handouts. So they are struggling with the idea of raising funds this way. But the extended family feels that they don’t have any other means to rebuild.  Whatever you can give they will be extremely grateful.
