The Sonny Payne Memorial Fund

Sonny Payne was the most loving, kind, and caring precious soul I have ever met and had the privilege to spend time with and call my friend.

 Sonny was a family man. A husband of 59 years to his precious wife Reva Jo, a loving father and grandfather to a beautiful family.  Everywhere Sonny went, lives were touched.  He was a blessing to all those he came in contact with through an uplifting word, contagious smile or a heartfelt prayer.  People everywhere were drawn to Sonny.

Sonny devoted the last 50 years of his life to serving the Lord and others.  He gave generously to others in need, often denying himself.  He was humble, gentle and grateful for every day and every blessing.  He had a beautiful, peaceable spirit that comforted all those in his presence.  He was truly a light to those around him.

 Sonny was a teacher, Pastor, author, and prayer warrior, but most importantly he was a friend who truly listened and cared for hurting souls. He will be missed beyond measure.

 Sonny suffered for the last 10 years with heart problems and so many other health issues, but through it all he kept his faith, he never complained, he never stopped serving the Lord. Sonny loved to tell jokes and make people laugh and even in his pain and suffering in the hospital in those last days he put smiles on the faces of those that were treating him. 

On December 22, 2019, Sonny had a major stroke and seemed to be on the road to recovery, but on December 28, 2019 Sonny’s heart stopped for the last time with Reva by his side. He continued to minister and teach and pray for others until the day he went home to be with Jesus.

 Sonny loved his wife, Reva very much.  Even at 80 years old he would always giggle and hold her hand and tell her how beautiful she was.  She was the love of his life and it would mean more than anything to Sonny for her to be taken care of with love, prayers, and financial blessings.

 Please help Reva continue the ministry that Sonny loved so dearly and help her with the mounting medical bills and living expenses.  Nothing would’ve made Sonny happier than knowing that his beloved wife Reva was taken care of and that her financial needs were met.

My most precious husband. Dancing with angles and worshiping at the feet of Jesus. Missing you so but knowing that you are without pain and free at last of any burdens makes our grieving doable. So many things remind me of you and our great love and wonderful time together. God was so very precious to give us 59 years 8 months together. We dated a year and were engaged a year in addition.
