The Soldier Samaritan

The Soldier Samaritan improves the quality of life for children living in Columbiana County by meeting their social and emotional needs.

The Soldier Samaritan is a non-profit charity located in Columbianan, Ohio. It is 100% veteran founded, owned, and operated.
The organization’s mission is to fill a growing need in the local community. According to the U.S. census, 20% of our local children live in poverty. While there are many dedicated food banks and clothing drives to provide for basic needs, many of the social and emotional needs of our children go unmet.

The Soldier Samaritan’s mission is to meet those social and emotional needs in the form of providing high quality gifts during holidays and birthdays, providing funding for children to join teams, participate in clubs, receive lessons, and many other quality of life enhancing activities.

The Soldier Samaritan does this through programs such as Operation: Christmas Tree, Operation: Birthday Cake, Operation: Play Ball, and many more.

Operation: Christmas Tree provides Christmas trees and ornaments to families in need during the holiday season.
Operation Birthday Cake: provides birthday cakes for children of families in need throughout the year.
Operation: Play Ball provides fundings for children of families in need to join athletic teams, clubs, take lessons or purchase necessary gear for those activities.
