The Sissy Collection

My sister has been my best friend, my mentor, and my Sissy for all my life. She has helped me through so much; including learning to love the parts of myself that I thought I should be ashamed of. She has gotten and made me many wonderful things, including my medieval dress, that everyone still loves every time I wear it, and my prom dress. She always told me that she would make me my prom dress and wedding dress. Well the day is finally coming; I'm engaged to be married and when I asked her to help me with my wedding dress so that it would be perfect for me she didn't bat an eye before saying "YES" even though she doesn't have much time or money to spare. She lives all the way in Montana and her and her husband live in an apartment/garage they are slowly building around their camper in the great wilderness that is out there, and though they are both working very hard to make a good life for themselves they do struggle. Recently, all they have worked so hard for was threatened by the raging forest fires that were spreading across the Montana mountains; thankfully, they didn't lose anything or have to evacuate but they still have a ways to go to be in a good stable position. And here I am, in the midst of all her struggling, asking her to help me design and decorate my wedding dress and be my matron of honor in my wedding. She wouldn't miss it for the world and, to be perfectly honest, I don't know if I can get married without her by my side. So I am trying to raise money so that I can either buy her a round trip plane ticket or give her enough gas money to drive her camper all the way back to northern NY where I reside and where my wedding is going to be. The wedding will be next fall, September 2018, but the sooner I can raise the money the better because maybe we can get good prices on the tickets. I would be so grateful to anything and everything you can donate. Pocket change would make me happy and, in fact, that's where we will be starting, besides the $40 that I put in her actual collection jar today. Thank you.
