The Sidewalk School in 7 Cities Throughout México

The Sidewalk School for Children Asylum Seekers started on August 11, 2019 in Matamoros, Mexico for the Children who were/are stuck  there because of MPP (Migrant Protection Protocal). The Sidewalk School was created to Employ, Empower, and Educate the Asylum Seekers while they are forced to live in Mexico. All of the Teachers at The Sidewalk School are Asylum Seekers who have degrees from their home countries. We currently have a Doctor, English Professor, IT professional, and their professional backgrounds and credentials go on and on, working as Teachers because they have no other options. The Sidewalk School now employs 20 Asylum Seekers (ALL get paid weekly), some who live inside the Encampment with some of The School's students while others live close to the Encampment (in Matamoros). Recently, we have expanded to Hermosillo, Playa del Carmen, Tampico, Nogales, and Juarez, México to serve the Children Asylum Seekers who have been out of school for a FULL calendar year. The Children Asylum Seekers in Juarez and other México cities are able to attend classes because of the Amazon Fire Tablets The Sidewalk School provides to each family (currently we have bought and given out 220 Tablets to our Students). We are currently in need of another 100 Amazon Fire Tablets for the Children Asylum Seekers in México because we are continuing to expand into other cities to provide Education where there is none. Please donate so these Children can go back to school, safely online via The Sidewalk School.

The Sidewalk School also provides School supplies, Mosquito Netting, backpacks, Children’s Vitamins (on a monthly basis), shoes, clothing, Lunch (5 Days a Week), fruit, sunscreen, cleaning supplies, detergent (given out to the students on a weekly basis), books, Children Face Masks, Dinnerware sets, Amazon Fire Tablet Covers, tents (for the families to live in) and the list goes on and on. We try to help as much as possible in anyway that is needed by the Children Asylum Seekers so please help and Donate. Thank you ❤️
