The Shuuenkan for a Social Kendo for all

Lo Shuuenkan è un piccolo dojo di kendo nato a Napoli nel 2014.

Si trova a Materdei, un antico quartiere nel centro della città.

Nonostante le tante difficoltà che abbiamo dovuto affrontare in questi anni, non ultima la pandemia, la nostra associazione sportiva si è sempre data un grande e ambizioso obbiettivo, la promozione del kendo a Napoli in forma totalmente gratuita.

Questa idea di “Social Kendo”, è nata direttamente dalla nostra passione per la nobile arte della scherma giapponese e dalla volontà di trasmettere questa passione a quante più persone e possibile, specialmente giovani, dando la possibilità di praticare a chiunque,soprattutto a chi non hai mezzi per poter pagare un iscrizione o l’attrezzatura necessaria.

Nel perseguire questo progetto abbiamo incontrato il “Giardino Liberato”, 

 un antico convento del XVIII secolo, un "bene comune" restituito alla città grazie all' azione di chi ne ha rivendicato il suo scopo sociale e che ci ha ospitato nei suoi locali, permettendoci così di poter continuare il nostro progetto e dandogli un nuovo slancio.

Ora noi vorremmo ricambiare questa occasione donataci, dedicando al “Giardino Liberato” e alla comunità del nostro quartiere e della nostra città, un nuovo dojo di kendo all’ interno dello stupendo salone dove attualmente pratichiamo, eseguito secondo tutti i canoni richiesti dalla pratica della nostra disciplina, che sia anche una

sala multifunzionale, dove assieme alle varie altre attività svolte dal “Giardino Liberato” potremo continuare a diffondere la stupenda pratica del Kendo, promuovendone i suoi valori e facendo crescere la nostra comunità.

Il Progetto prevede:

- Ristrutturazione degli ambienti del salone principale;

- Rifacimento del tavolato della pavimentazione del salone principale, secondo le specifiche richieste dalla pratica del kendo;

- Rifacimento degli infissi del salone;

- Acquisto di attrezzature da avere a disposizione di praticanti che non possano permettersene delle proprie;

- Acquisto di bogu adatti alla pratica per i bambini.

Sappiamo cosa il kendo può dare alle persone e vorremmo che tutti potessero amarlo come lo amiamo noi, perché sappiamo quanto bene questa disciplina può fare nella crescita fisica e morale di un individuo. Speriamo tramite questa campagna di riuscire nel nostro intento, garantendo così lo sviluppo del kendo e tramite esso fornire un servizio alla società.

Shuuenkan is a small kendo dojo established in Naples in 2014.

It is located in Materdei, an ancient neighborhood in the center of the city.

Despite the many difficulties we have faced in recent years, not most recently the pandemic, our sport association has always given itself a great and ambitious goal: the promotion of kendo in Naples, totally free of charge.

This idea of "Social Kendo," was born directly from our passion for the noble art of Japanese fencing and the desire to transmit this passion to as many people possible, especially young people, giving the opportunity to practice to anyone, above all those who do not have the means to pay for a membership or the necessary equipment.

In the pursuit of this project we encountered the "Giardino Liberato," a social center to which the City of Naples has entrusted an ancient 18th-century convent, which has hosted us, thus enabling us to continue our project and giving it a new impetus.

Now we would like to reciprocate this opportunity given to us by dedicating to the "Giardino Liberato” and to the community of our neighborhood and our city, a new kendo dojo inside the beautiful hall where we currently practice, executed according to all the standards required by the practice of our discipline. It will also be a multifunctional hall, where together with the various other activities carried out by the "Giardino Liberato" we can continue to spread the wonderful practice of Kendo, promoting its values and growing our community.

The Project includes:

- Renovation of the rooms in the main hall;

- Resurfacing of the main hall's floor board, according to specifications required by the kendo practice;

- Renovation of the fixtures in the hall;

- Purchase of equipment to have available to practitioners who cannot afford their own;

- Purchase of bogu suitable for children to practice.

We know what kendo can give people and we would like everyone to be able to love it as we do. We know how much good this discipline can do in an individual's physical and moral growth. We hope through this campaign to succeed in our intent, thus ensuring the development of kendo and through it to provide a service to our society.

修焔館は2014年に設立されたナポリの小さな道場です。

街の中心部の歴史的な地区であるマテルデイに位置しています。

ここ数年に立ち向かわなければならなかった、パンデミックを含むたくさんの困難にも負けず、私たちのスポーツ団体は常に壮大な目的を掲げてきました。それは、ナポリにおける完全無料での剣道の促進です。

この”ソーシャル剣道”というアイデアは、日本の高貴な芸術に対する私たちの情熱と、とりわけ道具や授業料を払う金銭的余裕がない人たち、若者を中心としたたくさんの人に剣道を届けたい、という思いから生まれました。

このプロジェクトを進めるにあたり、私たちは”ジャルディーノ・リベラート(解き放たれた庭）”という名の市民センターと出会いました。彼らがナポリ市から寄付された18世紀の古い修道院に私たちを招いてくれたことにより、私たちは剣道のプロジェクトを継続し、さらなる取り組みができるようになりました。

今度は、ジャルディーノ・リベラートや私たちの町、地域に恩返しがしたいと考えています。

ジャルディーノ・リベラート主催の様々なアクティビティも行うこともできる多機能スペースも設置しつつ、私たちの日頃の練習に必要な全ての条件も満たした新しい道場を、現在使わさせていただいている修道院の中に設けたいのです。

このプロジェクトでは、以下のことを予定しております。

＊修道院メインホールの改築

＊メインホールの床を剣道の練習により適したものにするための改修工事

＊ホールの窓枠の改修

＊個人で所有することが金銭的に難しい方のための、剣道の道具の購入

＊子供用防具の購入

私たちは、剣道が、一人ひとりの体力的、精神的な成長に非常に良い効果をもたらすことを知っています。故に、すべての人が私たちのように剣道を好きになってくれたら嬉しいのです。このプロジェクトにより、剣道をさらに発展させ、さらにはコミュニティへのサービスとして提供できることを願っています。
