The Sheppard Family Fund
Mr. Sheppard (a.ka. Daryl, or Shep) is the amazing father of seven kids, a wonderful husband, and inspiring teacher that teaches French, Grades 1-8 at St. Gregory and Holy Cross Catholic schools. He is also very involved in his church community, and his children’s after school activities - from youth groups to coaching soccer.
While driving home from a ballroom dancing lesson with his wife, he was involved in a head-on collision. He was rushed to North Bay hospital with a broken neck, broken rib, fractured skull. He was then air lifted to Sudbury. The extent of his brain injury are still yet to be determined.
Mr. Sheppard is currently at the ICU in Sudbury, and his family was told that recovery will be a long process, over 6 months to a year in the hospital. This is a long time for the family to be away from their Powassan home and community.
This fund is to help with travel, accommodations, food and babysitters for this wonderful family of 9 and long journey ahead. With Mr. Sheppard in hospital, and his wife holding down the fort, there isn’t a lot of time to worry about income.
