The "Secret Handshake Gallery" is an organization that helps and support people with schizophrenia; a space for peer-to-peer support which is safe, non-judgemental, and provides encouragement. The "Secret Handshake Gallery" is fund raising as it has a monthly shortfall to be able to pay rent. It is a much needed space that provides support for people with schizophrenia in Toronto, Ontario. The Gallery also provides a free space for artists where they can display their art work.

The "Secret Handshake" fills a void in the schizophrenic community by offering peer-support services. It's membership benefits greatly, sharing experiences, life skills and coping tools to live with this illness. The unique delivery of its art and poetry groups assist the members in social participation with each other and the community at large.
