The Santa Barbara Two - Stan and Ollie

Donation protected

Santa Barbara de Nexe Animal Help was set up 4 years ago by two intrepid ladies, Susan and Evelyne. Susan and Evelyne have rescued, treated and rehomed over 30 dogs and 15 cats. They run 2 shelters and feeding stations in the village for strays, neuter the strays and educate and help local people with pet neutering.

The latest two rescues are Ollie and Stan. They were living together on the street. It was obvious Stan was not well - he had a bad open wound on his leg, one blind eye and was very thin. So several weeks ago, after a chase through the village with 4 volunteers, Stan and Ollie were captured and taken to the vet. Even with their sad history todate,  both dogs are responding well to human touch and care and are quite affectionate. They would make wonderful pets.

They are both receiving intensive vetinary care for tick fever and heart worm. Stan needs further examinations to find out what is wrong with his kidneys. The costs so far are over €1000.

There is an immediate need for cash to pay for Stan and Ollie's vetinary care. Ollie is improving rapidly and we are looking for a home for him already. Stan will require further care before he can be rehomed.

These are 2 latest dogs to be rescued from the street. Raising cash to continue the vetinary care and rehoming programme is a constant challenge. So please donate what you can.
