Stephen and Dawn are in an emergency situation. They are losing their home as their landlord is selling and has asked them to vacate.
To paint a picture of what this means - the Sandovals have been gifted with wonderful neighbours and a community that has been near during times of emergency when they have needed support. Moving means change in this vital need. For Stephen - it's imperative that he find a place that is handicap accessible. This is not easy to find in Denmark. For the kids, stability in their same school is important for their coping mechanisms. Their home has been a haven, a source of comfort and shelter. Moving is not just an inconvenience - its a challenge to their structural supports, stability and infrastructure that needs to be handicap accessible.
The promising news is that they found a place that meets Stephen's accessibility needs and is in the children's school district. It comes available in April 2019 and it requires a deposit of first and last months rent as well as a deposit to hold their spot. The cost to move to this place that fits Stephen's accessibility needs all come to $7,500 - this is a conservative estimate. While the move isn't until April the deadline for the deposit is within the next two weeks. That's why this is urgent.
