The Rock loves us, We love The Rock (not Dwayne)

Before I delve deeper, the title is misleading. We do love Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, but this is not an effort to raise money for him.
For years, those of us who have spent time at The Painted Turtle have always had the pleasure of kicking back and unwinding at The Rock Inn in Lake Hughes, CA. The time and rigor spent making a great experience for campers deserves a lot of self care, and the first stop in self care is often The Rock. Whether it was bonding with co-workers, eating a delicious cheeseburger, singing Karaoke on Thursday nights, arguing over what stall in the women's bathroom is better (Biker Mama currently has more votes than Lil Hottie), or watching the 49er Day parade from the top deck, The Rock has always been a haven for us at TPT. Heck, my parents have stayed the night there.
I do not need to explain the challenges that COVID-19 has brought, we are all well aware. The Rock is trying to stay afloat to continue to be a place for all to enjoy. After all of the wonderful times they have given to us, I was hoping that we could help support them in their time of need. If you have positive memories from The Rock, please donate a couple bucks their way. Give what you would have spent on a meal or a beverage this week, and it will go directly to The Rock to help keep this oasis around for years to come. If we surpass our goal, Pops and Pun will get a pie in the face! (That has not been confirmed).
