Support for The Robicheau Family
At age 16, David was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) a long-term progressive disease of the liver and gallbladder. Since then developed autoimmune hepatitis four years ago to further complicate the disease and putting him on the transplant list.
David underwent a liver transplant at 8:30 am on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Edmonton. Julie has taken immediate leave from work and is with him in Edmonton while their three children are being taken care of by her mother back in Cold Lake.
Julie takes care in getting our kids to and from school everyday on her bus, and volunteers her time at her kids school and extracurricular activities - It's our turn to help take care of her and ease some of their worries so she can focus on David and his recovery and their family.
The purpose of these funds is to help with the costs of care for her kids, travelling to and from Edmonton, hotel and food costs, and parking/LRT fees at the hospital. Any funds not used will be donated to a charity or to further help other transplant recipients.
It's also important to note that without a selfless gift of organ donation, David and many others would not be here today. Please consider registering to be an organ and tissue donor today at organtissuedonation.ca
