Hello everyone!
My name is Emma Dickson and I am currently serving as Miss Black Colorado 2020 with the Miss Black USA Organization! This title means so much to me and has given me the platform to open the critical conversation surrounding racial justice and the importance of inclusiveness for the black community. The specific issues I have chosen to address are the importance of good health and nutrition, food deserts, and access to mental health resources in Black communities.
In order to expand this platform, I need your help. There is no financial support offered by the organizers of the Miss Black USA organization. Contestants are expected to pay all their own expenses related to the pageant.
If you are able to donate I would greatly appreciate it. The money will be going towards helping me to prep for the national pageant in Washington, DC in February 2021. The funds would be used for travel, consultants for the talent portion, continued promotion of the importance of the Miss Black USA organization, my participation, and other expenses.
