The Ripple Effect Project

Want to join us in making a difference? As a school project, Hailey, Ellie, and Paris; seniors at Discovery Canyon Campus High School, are raising money and collecting donations to benefit Springs Rescue Mission, and any donation will help make an impact. With COVID-19 effecting our community, we want to show the less fortunate all of the love and support we can, while also providing donations that will help the community stay safe. The Ripple Effect Project is a project in which collects monetary donations and physical items to donate to Springs Rescue Mission. We are passionate about this project because we believe that the local homeless people, could have better lives and it all starts with us.  We are apart of a club at our school called DECA which is a business competition club that includes categories such as marketing, advertising, entrepreneurship, etc. The event that we will be competing in this year at the state conference at the Broadmoor in February is called the Community Giving Project. The goal of the project is to take community initiative and our group chose to make donations to a local organization called Springs Rescue Mission which is a homeless shelter in our area. In order to not only excel in competition but also make a strong impact on our community, we are asking for donations to be able to maximize the amount we are able to donate. This project is especially important to us with COVID-19 and the winter weather affecting the homeless, now more than ever and them needing our help.
