The RAF Benevolent Fund and HomeStart NW Gloucestershire

Hi, my name is Tom and I will be running a Tough Mudder with the help of another few members of the RAF, to fund raise for The RAF Benevolent Fund and HomeStart NW Gloucestershire.

I have been serving in the RAF for 4 years now, and in that short time I have realised the struggles that family go through with serving members. In 2022 alone, the RAF Benevolent Fund spent £17.5M helping more than 44,700 current and former members of the RAF and their families through financial assistance, emotional wellbeing support relationship counselling and youth support. With more and more donations, the fund can help even more families that are struggling.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.

Home-Start are an organisation that works with families that have serving members, including the RAF, so I believe these 2 charities are closely related and raising money for both is very beneficial to helping families, especially children get the childhood and life they deserve.
