The Race of Faith

My Dear Friends,

My name is Innocent Fuh and I am a parishioner at Christ the King Church, South Reading, RG2 8NR. This is a wonderful, diverse and inclusive parish that offers so much and is open to Christians and Non-Christians within the local community. I have been a parishioner at Christ the King for over a decade and during this time, my Christian Faith continues to grow thanks to the wonderful priests, catechists, committed members of the parish council and the friendly parishioners.

I have witnessed my two kids baptised and received their first Holy Communion in this wonderful church. Amazing experiences that we still cherish till date.

It is for the above reasons that I will be running the Reading Half Marathon on the 2nd April 2023 to raise funds to support the general maintenance and refurbishment of the church (roof repairs & equipment upgrade). The church roof especially, is in need of urgent attention.

I am therefore pleading to all my friends, family members, parishioners and well wishers to assist me in raising funds to achieve this target.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
